Q: Will lifting my car affect the axles? It depends on the amount of lift and the type of axles you have in your vehicle. Parts store rebuilt axles are more prone to having issues. In general, installing lift spacers greater than 1.5 inches will require a subframe drop or "body lift" to maintain proper axle angle. Q: Do I need to replace my suspension bushings when installing a lift kit?A: It depends on the condition of your existing bushings. We always recommend inspecting your factory bushings and replacing them with urethane bushings such as Energy Suspension if needed. The added benefit of installing urethane bushings is that it allows the suspension to move more freely without binding up. A: In most cases, yes.
